"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood."

Acts 20:28

weekly message

“Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel… he held fast to the Lord and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses. And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook…” (2 Kings 18:5-7)

Hezekiah is known as one of the “good” kings, a dramatic contrast from his father, King Ahaz (one of the “bad” kings). When Hezekiah became king, Assyria controlled Judah. Acting with great courage, Hezekiah rebelled against this mighty empire that his father has submitted to. King Hezekiah placed his faith and trust in God’s strength, rather than his own or his army’s strength. He obeyed God’s instructions and commands, in spite of the obstacles and dangers that from a purely human viewpoint, looked overwhelming. Following God and obeying His commands and instructions can never fail! He has all of the answers and power to make things happen, even when it seems impossible.

2 Kings 18:1-8 “King Hezekiah Trusts God”

Word of Encouragement

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
